National Do Not Call List

The USA National Do Not Call Registry is now available online and allows consumers to register their home and mobile cell phone numbers for free.  By registering your number on the national do not call list, most telemarketers will not be allowed to call your telephone number.  Your registration will be effective for 5 years.  The National Do Not Call Registry is operated by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).  Registration does require a valid email address.

If you register on the do not call list most telemarketers must stop calling 3 months after you register.  If telemarketers call you after this deadline, you may file a complaint with the FTC.
